For those who stumbled upon this blog and/or don't already know me, let me give you an introduction.
I grew up in the midwest and now work and live in the San Francisco bay area in California. I'm outdoorsy and like to take care of the environment, but I wouldn't call myself a tree hugger. I like to drive fast cars (just got a MINI Cooper--FUN!) and get bored easily. I love movies and catching up on star gossip. I love to travel...but not sure I'm into camping. As far as hobbies go, I like to read, write, and cross-stitch.
As you can probably already tell, there's not really just one thing that defines me. (I asked my husband to describe me in one word and he came up with: Spunky or Pistol. Not sure if I like that last one, but oh well.)
Now here's where things start to get a little complicated. I met my (now) husband while working for a Silicon Valley company. He was the best thing that I took away from that company (which has since been split into several pieces, as often happens in Silicon Valley).
After living in the U.S. for most of my life and growing up in a city with a population of just over 5,700 people, it only took one visit to south Asia, to a city with over 18 million people, for me to be hooked: my heart belongs to south Asia. These days I straddle two continents and two cultures.
