Shocking break up

Every morning, I start my day by reading the three most important news sources: CNN, People, and US Magazine. (What...you thought they were going to be serious news sources? Well, at least 1 of them is!)

Anyway...earlier this week, I found one piece of news to be both shocking and deeply saddening: Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds broke up!



I've had a ginormous crush on been a Ryan Reynolds fan since one of his earlier gigs -- his role as Berg on the TV series Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place. Since then, the man has only gotten HOTTER...culminating with him recently being declared Sexiest Man Alive 2010 by People Magazine.

I've made it no secret that I concur with People (and I say this with no disrespect to my husband).  (My husband and I like to kid each other, and my husband's response to the news was hilarious: he joked that he'd already booked me a flight to L.A.)  The only thing I could think of when I read the news about Scarlett and Ryan's break up, was:  If even the Sexiest Man Alive can't make marriage work, what is this world coming to...?

Next week, my husband and I will celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary (inshallah)...and we couldn't be happier.  :)  (Sorry Ryan...but I don't think it's gonna work out for us to be together...I'm already married.)
