Baila! Baila!

For the past month or more, my blog posts have been focused on the cruise we took from Puerto Rico. As you may have guessed from the title of my blog (~ Straddling Continents and Cultures ~), some of my time is spent living in the U.S. or doing things that may be familiar to a lot of people and some of my time is spent travelling to south Asia or doing (south Asian) things that may not be so familiar to a lot of people but are awesome nonetheless. It's not a 50-50 balance...some days it's more like 80-20, 60-40, 30-70, or 10-90. Anyway it's only a matter of time before the pendulum that is my life swings back towards the desi side of things. That time is coming.

As I mentioned WAAAYYYY back in October (blog post: What to wear...what to wear...?), we'll be attending a desi wedding soon. It's hard to keep my excitement about it under wraps. Desi weddings involve a LOT of awesome stuff.

2010 resolutions...and Happy New Year!

Well, it’s 2010 now and what better way to ring in the new year than by creating a list of things to do! Haha, but seriously…lots of people believe in this New Year’s resolutions mumbo jumbo, so I thought, why not??

A recent article in the San Jose Mercury News on New Year’s resolutions had me laughing (especially the part where he wants to go to a foreign country): Tony Hicks: I’m aiming high with my New Year’s resolutions.
