As a result of all our travelling (which of course always involve sampling of different cuisines and flavors), my husband and I've become a little bit of foodies. Every now and then, I encounter some amazing food (like these) that I can't help but brag about.

Thoughts on being the weakest link
Ok, I admit it: I am the weakest link when it comes to exercise. I grow easily bored with exercise and tend to take A LOT of breaks.
My husband, on the other hand, has been doing yoga for going on 8 years.
In high school, I ran cross-country and track and played soccer for a couple of years. After moving to California, I did quite a few 5K and 10K road races. Those were fun, and running was a good form of exercise for me, but I grew bored with it about 5 (or more) years ago. Now I can hardly force myself to run around the block.

Dog beach in Carmel
Sometimes when I have free time available, I like to take our dog to a dog park or some other dog-friendly place. A couple of weeks ago, a friend and I got a chance to take our dogs to the dog beach in Carmel. For those who've never been to Carmel, it's extremely dog friendly!

Apparently idiots are everywhere
I'm always surprised at the depth of human stupidity, and it never ceases to amaze me how closed minded some people can be.
Before I describe my latest idiotic encounter, let me preface this topic by reiterating that although I might enjoy a lot of desi things, I am in fact caucasian with blonde hair. Since I don't "look the part," I tend to throw some people (and not only desis!) off their game because I'm not what they expect.
