i carry your heart with me

Today, my husband and I celebrate 6 years of marriage (yay us!).

Last year, I made a big deal about our 5th anniversary. I gave data and accomplishments (on our first 5 years of marriage) along with my husband's important qualities. We celebrated our 5th anniversary in style cruising around the Caribbean on Royal Caribbean's Serenade of the Seas.

I love celebrity encounters!

If you've read my blog post (which by the way is still my most popular post...even months later!) about the time I saw Kristin Kreuk and Allison Mack (both of Smallville fame) in Vancouver, then you already know that I LOVE seeing celebs.

Seeing a star out of his or her element -- outside the confines of the LA "jungle" -- always makes me feel like I'm on safari, searching for an elusive and rare animal.

Shocking break up

Every morning, I start my day by reading the three most important news sources: CNN, People, and US Magazine. (What...you thought they were going to be serious news sources? Well, at least 1 of them is!)

Anyway...earlier this week, I found one piece of news to be both shocking and deeply saddening: Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds broke up!

Is something missing...?

I've been writing this blog since June 11, 2009 (over 1.5 years!). According to my tracking, it's received over 4,500 visitors with over 8,000 pageviews from 94 countries (to date).

Seasons greetings

It's a common misconception that California doesn't have any seasons. We have them...they're just milder than other areas. Our summers never get very hot (though sometimes I wish they did). But it's also this year of year that I'm glad our winters never get very cold. (Especially after I heard from friends and family in Iowa that they're stuck in the middle of a blizzard so bad highways were closed and then I woke up to read that the Metrodome where the Minnesota Vikings play football collapsed after parts of Minnesota received over 23 inches of snow.)
