I know I just recently returned from a trip to Australia (you can read about my Australian adventures here), but I have to admit that I'm already ready to take another trip.
Being on vacation can be fun because you leave your normal household chores behind, and often times, you eat out at restaurants where someone else has to prepare the food for you. After awhile though, even eating out on vacation becomes work because you still have to find a good restaurant and figure out how to get there...and then there's deciding what to order.
For my next trip, I'd prefer one that's free of stress and (major) decisions.
I already have the perfect place in mind: Pakistan. As I've mentioned before, I love the food, clothes, shopping, and people. It's been nearly a year since we returned from our last trip to Pakistan, and these days, I find I'm missing people and places over there.

I say "free of stress and (major) decisions" because when I'm there, the hardest decisions I make run along the lines of:
- Which shalwar kameez should I ask the servant to iron?
- Should we eat home-cooked food or go out for dinner?
- Should I buy 2 pairs of chappals (sandals) or 3?
- In what style should I have the tailor make my shalwar kameez?
and because our servants help with a lot of chores around the house, that leaves me free to do...well, absolutely nothing. I don't have to:
- iron clothes or
- decide what to make for dinner (and then cook it myself) or
- figure out directions to a store and then drive myself there
That is...unless I want to do any of these things (then by all means, I can). I'm not a slob, so I do try to help out the servants when I can (sometimes by clearing away my own dishes or ironing my own clothes), but to be perfectly honest, when I'm on vacation in Pakistan, doing nothing feels good.
Unfortunately, I don't have any plans for an upcoming trip to Pakistan right now. So for now, I'll just have to settle for dreaming of doing nothing.
Oh you just made me super nostalgic for a trip to the motherland! :) especially the days of literally being able to do nothing but get dressed and be social.... sigh.... <3
