As I've mentioned before, I have a thing for music and my tastes (in music, that is) are kind of...a mixed bag.
As you can probably imagine, I like to listen to music while I'm running. But my last exercise-themed playlist was, well, severely in need of a makeover. So I got some new music before running the San Jose Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon a few weeks ago. Well, I should say "new to me" music...because some songs are oldies (but goodies).
My latest playlist has quite a few songs in it since sometimes my runs can be over 1.5 hours. So here's what I've got:
So which song is a "stand out" during my San Jose Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon? I remember I skipped through a bunch of them in the middle, but I fast forwarded to You Can't Always Get What You Want for my last 0.5 to 1 mile, and that's what I crossed the finish line with.
Do you have any music recommendations or what music do you listen to when you exercise?

| Oh and one more thing: when I first started running again in mid-July, I found myself getting highly annoyed and distracted by the headphone cable bouncing around in front of my body. So I bought myself some Bluetooth headphones since I'm always running with my cell phone. I ended up finding a local store that would price match Amazon's low price (< $50), so I didn't even have to wait to get them in the mail and was able to use them on a run the same day (yay, me!). I love them and wear them every time I run. The only issue is that I have to remember to charge them up about once a week or they won't hold enough charge. (A couple of runs when the charge started going low, it kept beeping every few seconds which was even more annoying than the headphone cable.) |
