Preparing for guests

To be perfectly honest, I meant to write this over a month ago.  At that time, I wanted to tell all you dear readers how excited I was that family was coming to visit us this summer and what all I'd been doing to get ready for their arrival.  


But I got so busy with oh, everything that blogging about all the cool stuff effort I was doing just wasn't a priority. (But I'm here now...so read on!)
